Lows, Rifenberg grab softball wins

NILES - Lows and Rifenberg both picked up wins this week in NBGSA action at Fireman's Youth Park.
Lows took a 7-1 win over Deferal Mogul in the 13-16 year-old division.
Kristina Ford grabbed the win on the mound for Lows, pitching four innings with four strike outs and seven hits allowed.
Stephanie Stoops suffered the loss, pitching three innings with two strike outs and 10 hits allowed.
Top hitters for Lows were Kayla Gross and Bridget Carlson.
Federal Mogul was led offensively by Nicole Newman and Patty Anton.
Rifenberg took a 13-1 win over Watsons Wednesday evening to keep them in first place in the 13-16 year-old division.
Jenna Ignowski was the winning pitcher, pitching three innings with six strike outs and only allowing one hit.
Cricket Fisher suffered the loss, pitching three innings with two strike outs and two hits allowed.
Top hitters for Watsons were Karly Kennedy with a single.
Rifenberg was led by Nicole Ignowski with two doubles.
Both teams return to the field tonight with Rifenberg facing Gordons and Lows facing Schraders.
