Lauren McNary, a 2004 graduate of Palm Harbor University High School ran in the 2005 USA Junior Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Carson, Calif. on June 25 for Howard University in Washington, D.C. and finished second in the 400-meters with a time of 52.48 seconds.
This meet served as the selection meet for the 2005 Pan American Junior Athletics Championships.
McNary, daughter of 1979 Ross Beatty High School graduate LaVaughn McNary, by finishing second has qualified to represent the USA against the best 14-19 year-olds in the world.
This expense-paid trip will take place in Windsor, Ontario, Canada on July 28-31.
LaVaughn McNary is the son of Henry and Maxine McNary.
