Greens sweep Reds

NILES - Fans, players, coaches and umpires were seeing green Tuesday evening at Thomas Stadium as the Niles Greens took a double header win over the Niles Reds, 15-4 and 10-0, in Babe Ruth Seniors League action.
Adrian Davis and Davey Moran both picked up the wins on the mound for the Greens.
Chris Carpenter and Josh Atwood suffered the losses.
The Greens were led offensively Jeff Cooper who had a triple, home run and four RBIs, Kyle Kidwell had three singles and four RBIs, Rich Burling had three singles, a double and four RBIs, Steve Oxley had two singles, Robert Oxley had three singles, Davis had two singles, Aaron Koziel had two singles and two RBIs, Steve Clanton had a double and a single, Scott Walker had a single and a RBI, Kyle Isabel had a single, Moran had a single and John Rothfuches had a single.
Top hitters for the Reds were Matt Koller, Jeremy Lucas, Chris Carpenter and Kevin Curran all with one single each and Atwood with a home run and three RBIs.
Seniors
Post 50 vs. Niles Greens

In Seniors baseball action, the Niles Greens suffered a 10-1 loss to Post 50 Thursday evening at Thomas Stadium.
Chris Corpe took the win on the mound for Post 50, throwing four strike outs and allowing three hits.
Davey Moran suffered the loss, throwing three strike outs and allowing five hits.
Post 50 was led offensively by Johny Davis with three singles and three RBIs, Garrett Curless had two singles and one RBI, Kyle Shriver had two singles and Justin Zobrosky, Corpe, Tyler Szymczak and Mike O'Neil all had singles.
The Greens were led by Markus Lawshea, Aaron Koziel and Robert Oxley all with singles and Scott Walker with a double.
Post 50 vs. Niles Reds

The Reds suffered a 15-1 loss to Post 50 in Babe Ruth baseball action.
Ronnie Clemons took the win for Post 50, while Kory Bridges suffered the loss.
The Reds were led offensively by Jeremy Lucas, Josh Teeter and Jamie Hall who all had one single each.
Post 50 was led by Justin Zobrosky with two singles and a RBI, Clemons with a single and a RBI, Chris Corpe with a single, double and a RBI, mason Borlik with a single, double and two RBIs, Matt Sooz with a single, double and four RBIs, Johny Davis with two singles and two RBIs, Tyler Symczak with a single, Doug Buysec with a single and Jeff Sinkiewicz with a single and a RBI.
Juniors
White Six vs. Cubs
In a very intense game, the Cubs were able to pull throught and defeate the White Sox, 6-3, in Babe Ruth Juniors baseball action Friday evening.
The Sox had control of the game in the fifth inning with a 3-2 lead when Derek Urganski and Tyler Jackson both scored on errors, but the No. 1 rankes Cubs quickly took control back.
The Sox made a huge double play in the fifth to stop a Cubs runner from scoring. With two outs, jake Harris nailed a double to bring in two runs for the Cubs. A single from Dustin Zimmerman allowed another run to score for the Cubs and one last single from Travis Rooney brought in the fourth run of the inning to win the game.
Zimmerman was the winning pitcher for the Cubs with Tyler Knisley taking the loss. Jackson also pitched for the Sox.
Top hitters for the Cubs were Whittaker with two singles, Alex Lindsey with a single, Harris with a double and two RBIs, Zimmerman with a single and one RBI, Rooney with two singles and a RBI and Josh Eaves wuth a single.
The Sox were led by Jackson with two singles and Mike Connors and Urganski both with one single each.
