Don't miss your chance to show your skills at the 2005 Greater Niles Area Golf Tournament at Plym Park Gold Course.
This tournament has been a part of Niles' history for more than 60 years with numerous area residents competing. Winners date back to the 1950s, but many believe the tournament was started long before that.
The tournament, also known as the City Tournament, is open to all area residents in Southwest Lower Michigan.
Tournament play will kick off this Friday, July 8, with the Junior Tournament beginning at 9 a.m. This tournament is for youth ages 17 and under. There are different age and gender groups.
There is a $10 sign-up, which includes golf, food and drinks.
The Mens and Ladies Tournament will be held on Saturday, July 9 and Sunday, July 10 beginning at 10 a.m.
There will be a seperate tournament for the genders with a championship Flight A, B and C Flights and Senior Flights.
There will be a $20 sign-up fee, plus green fees and cart (if desired).
Deadline for all tournaments is Thursday, July 7.
Help keep the tradition alive and be a part of Niles history this weekend. Spectators may watch their family or friends play and golf carts will available for those watching the Juniors Tournament.
