NILES - The Brandywine Public Schools Board of Education voted at its meeting Monday evening to hire Nathan Knapp to fill the head varsity boy's basketball coaching position.
Knapp is a 1994 Brandywine High School graduate who is self-employed in the constructions industry.
Knapp will be replacing David Sidenbender.
Knapp has been the junior varsity basketball coach at Coloma since 2002, and last season was the coach for both the boy's and girls teams at those levels.
Knapp added that he met with some of the Brandywine students and they will be some great kids to work with.
Stratton added that after seeing Knapp coach at the junior varsity level, this is the right step for him to make at this time and its going to be a good challenge for him.
