Diamonds United defeated, 3-2

For the first time this year Dowagiac Diamonds United tasted defeat.
P&R F.C. knocked off the lone undefeated team in the Blossomland Soccer League Friday evening with a 3-2 victory.
Dennis Ott, Judson Soule and Matt Keller scored the goals for P&R, which improved to 2-1 on the year.
Diamond United (4-1) got goals from Rodolfo Hernandez and Ismael Hernandez.
On Monday night, the Tornadoes and Mariners played to a 7-7 draw.
The Tornadoes (1-3-1) got five goals from Andy Low and two goals from Steve Boits.
The Marines (0-5-1) got two goals each from Kyle Haumersen and Carl Koopmans. Also scoring for the Mariners were Alex Grumbine, Michael Krafft and Dan Veriotti.
Diamond United remained in first place with 12 points. The St. Joe Kickers (3-0-1) are in second place with 10 points, while the Dowagiac Chiefs are in third place with nine points. The Chiefs are 3-1 on the year.
Jaier F.C. (2-2), P&R (2-1), Whirlpool United (1-0-1), Tornadoes, Rangers F.C. (0-3) and the Mariners round out the current standings.
Jay Fettig of the Kickers has taken over the scoring lead in the league with 10 goals. Ismael Hermandez and Low both have nine goals, while Nick Sherrill (Kickers) and Troy Sink (Jaier) have six goals.
Tony Black of the Chiefs has five goals.
The Kickers are the top scoring team in the league with 34 goals. Diamonds United has 30 goals and the Chiefs have 21 goals.
Action resumes tonight with Whirlpool United hosting Rangers F.C. at Rockey Weed Fields in Berrien Springs.
