Nadeau closer to return
Vetran winger Patrick Nadeau could return as soon as this weekend after partaking in his second full-contact practice Monday.
If Nadeau suits up, it would be his first game action since midway through last season. He since has had surgery on both hands.
Coach Paul Gillis said the Mallards will be cautious about Nadeau's return.
No stick issues
Some teams in the league are having problems getting their full order of hockey sticks.
Equipment manager Derek Craft said the Mallards are not among them.
Cochetiere doubtful
Mallards president Howard Cornfield said an unspecified injury could keep defenseman Serge Crochetiere out of action this weekend.
Crochetiere left the ice in the opening period of Friday's win over Port Huron. He did not play in Saturday's win over Kansas City.
