The host Cassopolis Lady Rangers came into the 2005 season having not won a single Lakeland Conference game since 2002.
On Wednesday Cassopolis swept visiting Berrien Springs to win their third and fourth league games of the season.
Cassopolis took the first game 10-0 and then won the nightcap, 7-2.
The Lady Rangers may only be 7-15 on the year and 4-12 in the league, but Cassopolis has come a long way in a short period of time under new head coach Randy Brooks.
The phases of the game where the Lady Rangers have improved the most have been in defense and pitching.
Both were solid on Tuesday, May 17 when Cassopolis lost to Lakeland Conference champion Brandywine, 3-1 and 4-0.
But Wednesday the Lady Rangers got to shine on offense against the Lady Shamrocks.
Freshman Symone Pompey tossed a no-hitter with nine strike outs and just one walk in the opening game for Cassopolis.
Randi Hoffman was the winning pitcher in the second game.
Ashley Solloway and Becky File both singled and doubled in the opener, while in the nightcap, Jealyn Foston had two singles.

Cass had just five hits against Hartford, but banged out 12 hits against Lawrence.
Baily Wyant had a double and three singles, while Jessica Frucci singled and doubled. Nikitas Nelson added three singles. Kayla Green had two hits.
The Lady Rangers had 14 hits against Decatur.
Jealyn Foston led the way with a double and a triple. Frucci added a single and a double, while Hoffman also doubled. Cassopolis also got two hits from Wyant, Ashley McCoy and Molly Vite.
