NILES - Brandywine's varsity baseball team traveled to Lake Michigan Catholic Monday evening and split a pair of non-conference games with the Lakers.
The Bobcats fell in the first game 8-6, but rebounded in the second to take the 8-2 win.
Zach Bennett suffered the pitching loss in game one.
Justin Ely and Alex Newman both tripled for Brandywine while Bennett added a double.
Ely, Bennett and Kevin Curran led the Bobcats with seven combined hits.
In game two Matt Wieger picked up this first varsity picthing win for Brandywine.
Top hitters were Newman with a double and Newman and Bennett each had two hits for the Cats.
