Vikings tennis defeats Bobcats

NILES - Niles and Brandywine met on the tennis court Tuesday afternoon at Plym Park and the Vikings picked up the 8-0 win against the Bobcats for a non-league match.
Niles head coach Rob Babler admitted his team was a little thrown off by Brandywine's Australian formation, but they still worked hard through some of it.
Ari Fernandez got the 6-0, 6-2 win against Mike Nagy at No. 1 singles. Colin Smith took the 6-1, 6-2 win against Jake Sinkoff at No. 2 singles.
At No. 3 singles Nate Fink defeated Cory Barber 6-0, 6-0 and Nick Neumann took the 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles against Chris Harrison.
Billy McDonal and Jeremy Hechtl put up a good fight at No. 1 doubles, but suffered the 6-7, 4-6 loss to Jon Smith and Jeff Pugh.
At No. 2 doubles, Jonathan Poole and Mark Neeser picked up the 7-6, 6-1 win against Adam Simons and Pat VanLaere.
Levi Grooms and Skyler Mudd took the 6-0, 7-6 win at No. 3 doubles against Kyle Bankston and Brian Echevarria and Dan Whitney and Tyler Espick fell to Dan Ridts and Nacho Gaminde at No. 4 doubles 0-6, 1-6.
