BUCHANAN - Buchanan's varsity softball team picked up a double header Lakeland Conference win Tuesday afternoon against visiting Berrien Springs.
The Bucks took the first game 8-4 and the second game, which was ended early due to mercy rule, 10-0.
Ashley Pointer picked up the pitching win for the Bucks against Megan Fecho.
Buchanan had a solid night offensively and got some big hits from Tracy Brelowski, Ashley Pointer and Leslie Niemier who all had doubles and Emily Ross, Jaclyn Mummaw and Hayley Burks all added two singles for Buchanan.
While Berrien Springs, now 1-17 overall, had numerous chances to jump ahead in the first game, the Shamrocks were a far cry from the lead in the second as the Bucks ended the game in five innings.
