Brandywine softball creams Berrien Springs

NILES - It didn't take long for the Brandywine softball team to claim two Lakeland Conference games Tuesday afternoon as both games were ended by the fifth inning.
The Lady Cats, who remian undefeated in the LAC, took the 10-0 first game win, which was ended in the fifth inning due to mercy rule.
Brandywine had some good hitting in the first game and Kelli Zache pitched her third no-hitter of the season against Brittani Dillard.
The Bobcats got hits from Ashley Antus who had two singles and one RBI, Zache had two doubles and three RBIs, Dee Echevarria had two singles, Amanda Grice had a double and two RBIs and Rachel Batman had two singles and two RBIs.
Brandywine again dominated in the second game, this time taking a 15-0 win. The game was ended at the end of the fourth inning due to mercy rule.
Grice was the winning pitcher for the Bobcats against Dillard and had two singles, a triple and two RBIs for Brandywine.
Angela Newman added a home run, single and three RBIs for the Lady Ctas.
Brandywine, now 15-4 overall, 8-0 in the LAC, will host River Valley tonight. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
