Dowagiac thinclads head to St. Joe Friday

For the third time in a week, the Dowagiac varsity track team will head to St. Joseph to take part in the St. Joseph-Lakeshore Relays on Friday.
The Chieftains had a dual meet with the Bears on Tuesday, April 26, and then returns to Dickenson Stadium last Friday for the 48th annual Rotary Track Meet.
This Friday the Chieftains will join the Bears, Lancers, Edwardsburg, Parchment, Portage Central and Bedford at the meet, which is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. with the field events.
Running events are scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m.
The field events will consist of a pole vault, high jump, long jump, shot put and discus relays.
The running events will consist of a coed shuttle hurdle relay, sprint medley relay, distance medley relay, 1,600-meter relay, Wally's coed relay, 400-meter coed relay, open 800- and 1,600-meters and a 400-meter relay.
