NILES - Buchanan's varsity softball team picked up a much needed win Monday afternoon against Centreville 9-7.
Emily Ross had a triple and two singles for the Bucks and Ashley Pointer was the winning pitcher.
Buchanan, now 4-4 in the Lakeland Conference, will travel to Edwardsburg on Wednesday for a LAC doubleheader. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
