Van Buren continues to spread meth awareness

HARTFORD - The Van Buren County Methamphetamine Task Force Friday announced the addition of three more meth awareness presentations, including May 11 in Decatur.
Two-hour-long seminars, which are open to the public but not suitable for young children, educate community members on the dangers of meth and provide ideas for how to prevent it from spreading.
The Task Force held seven such events in March and continues to book them as part of its awareness initiatives.
Following is a list of the new presentations, as well as locations and contact information for anyone interested in attending.
Each presentation lasts from 7 to 9 p.m.

Participating Task Force members include Van Buren/Cass District Health Department, Michigan State Police, Van Buren County Sheriff's Office, Family Independence Agency, Lakeview Community Hospital in Paw Paw and South Haven Community Hospital.
