NILES - If you've been anxious to see a parade, or just want a fun day at the ball park, Saturday will be the day for you.
Howard Township Baseball League will be celebrating its Opening Day on Saturday, April 30.
The day will be started with a parade from K &G Marina to Pepper Martin Park beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Following the parade the league will have its Opening Ceremony followed by a full day of baseball, playing a total of seven games in all.
Their chicken dinner fundraiser begins at 11 a.m.and runs until 4 p.m. or until the chicken runs out — so good that it usually runs out well before our posted end time!
The league would like to thank the friends, fans and families of Howard Township Baseball for helping to make this their biggest year to date for the league.
The league has a total of 15 teams this year and look forward to a lot of great baseball.
The league would also like to thank the Howard Township Board for the major improvements to the park, which include a new parking lot and a beautiful new walking path.
These added elements make the park even more family oriented.
The league invites everyone in the community to join them in celebrating its Opening Day Celebration at the recently expanded park
