Pamida buys Dowagiac Pharmacy

OMAHA, Neb. - Pamida Inc. Tuesday announced the purchase of Dowagiac Pharmacy, 223 S. Front St.
Prescription files and patient records will be transferred to the newly-remodeled pharmacy inside the Pamida store at 56419 Pokagon St., Dowagiac, on Monday, May 2.
Dowagiac Pharmacy customers can continue having their prescriptions filled at the present location downtown up until that time.
Pamida is also pleased to announce several friendly faces at Dowagiac Pharmacy will be joining the Pamida team.
Dowagiac Pharmacy has been in business in Dowagiac for 15 years.
Of 223 Pamida stores, 118 currently contain pharmacies.
The regional retailer has announced plans to open up to 12 additional pharmacies in Pamida stores throughout 2005.
Pamida headquartered in Omaha, is a subsidiary of ShopKo Stores Inc., a retailer with 366 stores and 25,000 teammates throughout the Midwest, Mountain and Pacific Northwest regions.
