Lady Eddies go 1-2 at Comstock

COMSTOCK - The Edwardsburg varsity softball team went 1-2 on Saturday at the Comstock Invitational.
Edwardsburg lost to Portage Central, 9-0, defeated Parchment, 16-4, and lost to Lakeland Conference foe Coloma, 5-4.
In the opening game against Portage Central, Edwardsburg's Jenna Bowman (2-2) took the loss. She allowed nine runs on nine hits with two strike outs.
The Lady Eddies finished with seven hits.
In the second game Sheila Stoops picked up her first victory of the season.
She allowed four runs on six hits with three strike outs.
Sam Fritsche and Bowman each had three hits and three RBIs for the Lady Eddies, Hertz, Kristen Toney, Merrill and Stoops all had two hits. Stoops also drove in two runs.
In the third game, Kelli Kretchman (1-1) took the loss as she allowed five runs on six hits with five strike outs and two walks.
Kretchman and Toney both had two hits.
