Dowagiac blanked by Buchanan netters

BUCHANAN - The Buchanan tennis team continued to shine on the court Monday evening as it took an 8-0 win over visiting Dowagiac.
Harper Sulier took the 6-3 win in the first match at No. 1 singles against Adam Carlson. Sulier fell in the second set 4-6 and won the third set 6-3.
At No. 2 singles Mario Bonardi took the 6-4, 6-1 win over Sonny Swartz. At No. 3 singles Brad Burns won the first set against Mike Hoff 6-4, lost the second 5-7 and won in the third 6-3 and at No. 4 singles Sean Thornton took the 6-1, 6-1 win over Micah Null.
Korey Camp and Andrew Gordon took the 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles against Josue Miranda and Mike DeRose. At No. 2 doubles David Wright and Dillon Bailey took the 6-2, 6-0 win over Jon Woosley and Aaron Wilson.
Andrew Scroggin and Josh Niven took the 6-1, 6-4 win over Kyle Kowalski and Henry Krohne at No. 3 doubles and Justin Lovelady and Taylor Oake fell in the first match 6-7, but picked up the pace and won the last two 6-4, 6-3.
Buchanan, now 2-0, 1-0 in the LAC, will travel to Edwardsburg on Wednesday. Match time is set for 4 p.m.
Dowagiac will return to Big 16 West Division play on Wednesday when it heads to St. Joseph for a 4:30 p.m. match.
