OTSEGO - The Buchanan varsity softball team went 1-2 on the Otsego Invitational on Saturday.
The Lady Bucks (4-4) won the opening game against Allegan, 14-4, but were defeated by St. Joe (3-2) and host Otsego (3-2).
Ashley Pointer was the pitcher of record in all three contests. Pointer is now 4-3 on the year. Leslie Neimier and Hayley Burks both doubled for the Bucks in the first game as they finished with 17 hits.
Buchanan had just three hits in the second game against St. Joe and four hits against Otsego.
Neimier had a double for the Lady Bucks against Otsego.
The Bucks return to action today at Cassopolis for a Lakeland Conference doubleheader.
