The Edwardsburg girls' and boys' track teams opened up their seasons on Saturday at the Kiwanis Invitational hosted by Bronson High School.
The Lady Eddies finished third overall while Edwardsburg was fourth in the boy's portion of the meet.
Hillsdale won the girl's portion of the meet with 154 points. Bronson was second with 139 points, while Edwardsburg was third with 120 points. Pittsford and Parchment were fourth and fifth with 88 and seven points respectively.
In the boy's portion of the meet, Pittsford was the winner with 166 points. Bronson was second with 141 points and Hillsdale third with 106 points. Edwardsburg and Parchment finished with 53 and 37 points respectively.
In the field events for the Lady Eddies, Ricquelle Allemon won the long jump with a distance of 14-feet-4.25.
Dani Giles finished second in the shot put with a toss of 29-4.25, while Kailee Checkley was third with a throw of 24-9.
Stephanie Koontz finished second in the pole vault for the Lady Eddies with a height of 7-feet.
In the running events Edwardsburg's squad of Emily Kendall, Erin Eggelston, Lindy Allemon and Ricquelle Allemon won the 440-yard relay with a time of 56.77.
Eggelston was also a winner in the 330-yard hurdles with a time of 54.19.
Lindy Allemon was third in the 110-yard high hurdles with a time of 18.9. Evie Fafunai was third in the 100-yard dash with a time of 12.77, while Ricquelle Allemon was third in the 220-yard dash with a time of 29.06.
Angie Bronicki was third in the two-mile run with a time of 14:37.12.
Taking fourths for the Lady Eddies were Linda Phillipson (discus and pole vault), Koontz (long jump), Eggelston (110-yard hurdles), Randi Bailey (330-yard hurdles) and Tafunai (220-yard dash).
Edwardsburg's two-mile relay team of Bronicki, Julie Harness, Jackie O'Connor and Ricquelle Allemon was third, while the 880-yard relay team of Tafunai, Kendall, Bailey and Cori Carter was fourth.
The Lady Eddies' squad of Bailey, Kendall, O'Connor and Katelin Bowman was fourth in the mile relay.
Finishing fifth was Koontz (high jump).
In the boy's portion of the meet, Edwardsburg had just seven competitors.
Doug Shuttleworth finished second in the high jump despite tying for the top height with two other jumpers.
Shuttleworth, who cleared 5-feet-10, finished second due to misses at a previous height.
Shuttleworth was also second in the 110-yard high hurdles with a time of 17.2 and fourth in the long jump with a leap of 17-6.25.
Jake Roberts took second in the 880-yard run with a time of 2:12.07. Roberts was sixth in the long jump.
James Greenfield was third in the mile run with a time of 4:56.76 and fourth in the 880-yard run with a time of 2:14.04.
Alex Hall finished third in the high hurdles with a time of 18.5 and fourth in the intermediate hurdles with a time of 47.6.
Also finishing fourth was Edwardsburg in the mile relay. The team of Greenfield, Roberts, Shuttleworth and Hall ran a time of 4:06.18.
