NILES - The Brandywine Board of Education has evaluated Superintendent Gary Rider and the outcome is good.
The Board voted at Monday night's meeting to extend Rider's contract for another year. At a previous meeting, they had gone through a list of guidelines, and discussed his evaluation.
Another announcement made at the meeting is that Brandywine Elementary Principal Gary Spiess has put in his resignation which will take effect on April 22.
The board also approved a bid from Simmons Tree and Lawn of Niles to do the mowing, trimming and leaf removal throughout the district.
