Bayer CropScience signs as title sponsor for True’s Motorsports

DOWAGIAC - True's Motorsports of Dowagiac has announced that Bayer CropScience has been signed as a title sponsor for the 2005 season.
Bayer CropScience LP is the United States business of Bayer CropScience AG, one of the world's leading innovative crop science companies in the areas of crop protection, non-agricultural pest control, seeds and plant biotechnology.
The company offers an large range of products and services for modern, sustainable agriculture and for non-agricultural applications.
The sponsorship will promote Balance Pro and Define SC, two of Bayer's agricultural products.
True's Motorsports also announced that Gallagher's Wholesale Carpet will continue its sponshorship for the 2005 season.
True's Motorsports will also have associate level sponsors HEI Wireless Communications, Tyler's Automotive, True Racing Products, Saylor's Pizza, Lane Automotive, Allstar Performance, Division Tire, 99 Signs and Mr. K's Wearhouse.
True, who is running in his first full ASA Late Model Series, finished fourth in the final point standings in his first year of ASA competition.
Racing is a familar affair for the Trues. Doug's father Dave True is owner and crew chief of True's Motorsports, as well as owner of True Racing Operations.
True's grandfather Guy "Stub" True and his brother "Shorty" True began racing in the early 1950s. His father Dave took up the sports in the late 1960s and competed in everything from open wheel supermodifieds to the stock bodied touring series of ASA.
Dave after three decades turned the wheel over to son Doug, who started out in go-carts and is now looking to make a splash in the ASA Series.
True, 29, began running late model stock cars in 1997 and earned Rookie of the Year status at the South Bend (Ind.) Motor Speedway in 1998.
True also was named Rookie of the Year in 1999 for the Outlaw Lake Model Series at the former M-40 Motor Sports Arena (now Thunder Valley).
True's pit crew also consists of family members. Cousins Brandi Mayer and David Younger join father Dave on the team. Other crew members are Mark Weed and Bob Brown.
True hopes to build on last year's success.
True's Motorsports will run the 2005 season in new Howe Racing Enterprises Chevy Monte Carlos.
