NILES - After starting its season with a loss on Tuesday night against Vicksburg, the Niles soccer team bounced back Thursday night with a 2-0 win over Three Rivers.
The Vikings, now 1-1, dominated the field and only allowed the Wildcats to get one goal shot. Niles had many of opportunities to score in the first half, but made small mistakes that kept it from the goal and both teams went into halftime scoreless.
Lacey Wiemuth centered the ball to Danie Pulaski for Niles' first goal of the night.
The Vikings second goal came within the last four minutes of the match when Amber Peters assisted Wiemuth with a nice cross for the goal and gave Niles its 2-0 non-conference win.
The Vikings return to action on April 13 at Lakeshore. Match time is set to begin at 5 p.m.
