Dowagiac Board of Education Monday night recognized two retiring administrators at its meeting at Sister Lakes Elementary School.
John Lehigh of Union High School will be leaving at the end of the school year after 17 years. He also has the title of director of migrant education.
Sister Lakes Principal David Strlekar is wrapping up his 39th year with the district - 34 as an elementary principal.
The northern Minnesota native came to Dowagiac in 1966 for "one year, maybe two. The weather down here is relatively decent."
