Dowagiac spent $16,886 Monday night for a transformer that will serve ICG's new electric service and eliminate an existing transformer at its Franklin Street facility.
The new KVA pad mount transformer comes from Champion Charter Sales and Service of Iron Mountain.
Champion submitted the low bid from 12 turned in by eight companies March 9.
