The first public meeting of the Cass County Democracy Club held at Zeke's in Dowagiac on Saturday, March 12, was called a resounding success.
The turnout was "astonishing," according to organizer Myron Miller, who reports the room was filled to capacity with people from all over Cass County - ordinary people who are interested in having their voices heard on various issues from local to national; ordinary people who want to get involved, make a difference and improve our government.
The CCDC will soon begin hosting events, activities and discussion groups throughout the county on an ongoing basis.
Purpose of the CCDC is to promote the interests of ordinary Americans, the ideals and principles of the Democratic Party, good government and democracy.
