Eighth grade splits with Lakeshore spikers

The Central Middle School eighth grade volleyball teams split a pair of matches with Lakeshore on Monday.
The "A" team won two out of three games with the Lady Lancers.
Dowagiac won 14-25, 25-18 and 15-7.
Brittany Gnatz led Dowagiac with 15 service points. Katie Wood finished with five points, as did Shelby Willis. Linzy Kling finished with four points and Shelly Urbanski with three points.
The "B" team won one out of three games with the Lady Lancers.
Dowagiac was defeated 19-25, 21-25 and 16-14.
Amy Behnke led Dowagiac with nine points. Alex Dean finished with four points, as did Ami Sarao. Christy Stanton added three points, while Linda Vela and Olivia File each had two points.
Dowagiac returns to action on Wednesday for its final home match of the season against St. Joe Upton.
The match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
On Friday Dowagiac will travel to Coloma for a tournament which is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
