The Dowagiac varsity volleyball team fell to host Battle Creek Central in a Big 16 Conference crossover match, 13-25, 19-25 and 19-25.
Brittney Reist had 12 kills and 12 digs. Jill Billingham had five kills, while Brittany Bruens had 13 assists and three aces.
Kim Luthringer had 14 digs and a block for the Chieftains, who also got eight digs from Lindsay Tyler, five assists from Ashley Urbanski and an ace from Amy Wood.
Dowagiac will be at the Big 16 Conference Tournament on Saturday in St. Joseph.
