The Edwardsburg varsity volleyball team picked up its second Lakeland Conference victory of the season as it defeated River Valley in four games.
The Lady Eddies (9-19 overall) defeated River Valley, 17-25, 25-14, 25-20 and 25-13.
Chrissy Breisch led the Lady Eddies with nine kills. Sam Fritsche added five kills.
Nikki Thompson had 16 assists for Edwardsburg, which also got 14 assists from Sarah Lange.
Shelley Roberts led the team with 21 digs. Megan Moyer added 17 digs. The Lady Eddies also got two blocks from Fritsche, four aces from Shelia Stoops and two aces from Susanna Martino.
The Lady Eddies were scheduled to travel to Cassopolis on Wednesday for a Lakeland Conference match.
In junior varsity action, the Lady Eddies won 25-7 and 25-21. The Edwardsburg freshmen won in three games, 16-25, 25-12 and 15-11.
