The Dowagiac varsity volleyball team one just one match at the Kalamazoo Loy Norrix Volleyball Lover's Tournament on Saturday.
The Chieftains lost to Kalamazoo Central, 13-25 and 24-26; defeated Grand Rapids Creston, 25-22 and 25-10; lost to Battle Creek Central, 18-25 and 14-25; and lost to Loy Norrix, 19-25 and 19-25.
Brittney Reist led Dowagiac with 24 kills, while Jill Billingham, Ashley Urbanski and Kim Luthringer each had 13.
Reist also had a team-high 15 digs. Luthringer finished with 10 digs and Urbanski nine.
Reist had nine aces, Billingham seven and Amy Wood six. Billingham led the team in blocks with eight. Jolynn Hawkins had four. Urbanski and Brittany Bruens had 25 and 20 assists respectively.
