NILES - A hit and run accident occurred at the intersection of East Main and Third streets on Thursday about 5:15 p.m.
A green Chevy Lumina van driven by Tommy Allen Kelley of Niles was traveling northbound on Main street, when the white four-door Chevy of Jacinda Devon Myers who was traveling westbound on Third Street, went through the red light and struck Kelley's vehicle causing it to roll over.
Myers then fled the scene. Pamela Sue Kelley who was a passenger in the rolled over van was taken to Lakeland Hospital by SMCAS for possible injuries.
Niles City Police officers were given a description of Myers vehicle and were able to follow a trail of leaking fluid from the accident, which lead them to 680 Platt St. where they found Myers vehicle in the parking lot. She was subsequently arrested for hit and run.
