The Dowagiac freshmen and junior varsity volleyball teams were defeated by visiting Battle Creek Lakeview Wednesday night.
The freshmen squad fell to the Lady Spartans, 6-25 and 10-25, while the junior varsity was defeated, 10-25 and 16-25.
Kayla Saviano and Alyson Wheeler each had a kill for the freshmen squad.
Kassandra Leitz had six digs, while Stephanie Barnas and Jessica Pence each had two digs.
Barnas and Lori Key each had one assist. Barnas also had an ace. Saviano also had two block assists. Barnas had a solo block and Key a block assist.
Jill Wiesemes led the junior varsity squad with five assists.
Wiesemes and Katy Stuppy each had an ace, while Allison Frontczak had two blocks.
Stuppy also had five digs, while Frontczak had five kills.
The Chieftains will return to action on Monday when it hosts Berrien Springs in the final home match of the season.
The freshmen and junior varsity match is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
