COLOMA - Host Coloma outscored Brandywine 44-24 in the second half Tuesday night to pick up a 78-51 Lakeland Conference victory.
The Bobcats (1-15 overall, 0-11 Lakeland Conference) trailed just 34-27 at halftime against the second place Comets.
Former Brandywine standout Josh Hood, now the Coloma head coach, benched his starters for much of the first quarter for disciplinary reasons.
As a result, the Bobcats grabbed a 15-11 first quarter lead.
Brandywine continued to play well throughout the second quarter even when the Coloma starters returned.
But in the second half, the Bobcats were no match for Coloma's full-court pressure defense.
The Comets forced numerous second half turnovers which led to easy baskets.
Sebastian Lewis was the main thorn in the Bobcats' side as he scored nine third quarter points to help Coloma take a 60-37 lead.
Lewis led all scorers with 16 points.
Brandywine was led by Matt Beaver who scored 14 points. Bill Bussey added 13.
