OLIVET - Former Dowagiac standout Jeff Cooper scored a career-high 11 points Tuesday night to help Olivet College to a 74-65 victory over Kalamazoo College.
Olivet used a 12-2 run in the first half to open up a 26-16 advantage with 9:50 remaining in the first half.
Olivet led 41-32 at the intermission.
In the second half, the Hornets used a 20-8 run over the final 7:18 to secure the victory.
Olivet (6-13 overall, 2-7 MIAA) was led by Steve Johnson and Ronnie Pearson, both of whom scored 12 points.
Olivet will face Alma on Saturday in another Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association contest.
