Encouragement she provides and time she spends listening are returned by them looking up to her.
Kenzie is an excellent student with a 3.95 grade-point average and is involved in numerous school activities, including four years as a peer mediator, Student Council for two years and an ambassador who welcomes new students to the building.
She serves on the school climate committee, which encourages a positive environment. She has also been involved in bystander training, teaching students how to be more assertive.
Sara Moroz of Cassopolis was described as kind, generous, enthusiastic, fun, focused, passionate, intelligent, eager to help others and truly delightful.
Sara's involvements include Spanish Club, Spanish Honor Society, SADD, year-round soccer, Relay for Life, volunteering at the Council on Aging, mentoring for elementary students, Minority Coalition student volunteer and instrumental in organizing Color Me Human.
Sara participated in a panel discussion about juvenile court services in the county for the Building Restorative Communities (BRC) grant.
She travels to Ireland this summer to participate in a home-stay program.
Her career goal is attending Michigan State University to become an elementary teacher.
Freshman Layne Deuel of Marcellus "has been the most respectful, responsible, mature little person running around I'd ever seen," said Tammy Curtis, who has known him since kindergarten.
