Dowagiac City Council officially made the acquaintance of new Police Athletic League (PAL) Director James Harrison Monday night.
Harrison, though, is no stranger as a 1990 Union High School graduate who is already employed as an aide at Justus Gage Elementary School.
City Manager Bill Nelson said PAL, based at Lincoln Community Center until it closed Nov. 11, 2004, as a result of the resignation of Danum Hunt, will reopen next week after Harrison gets acclimated.
City Clerk Jim Snow administered Harrison's oath of office.
