NILES - Efforts are under way for a benefit concert to support Project Fresh Start.
Fresh Start is a community based effort to help expelled students from Buchanan, Brandywine, and Niles work their way back into the public school system.
Over the years, Fresh Start has been very successful in helping expelled students and their families.
The benefit concert will be held on Saturday Jan. 15, at 7 pm at the Michiana Christian Embassy, 1922 E. Main St.
Organizers have several music groups to perform. In addition to the Niles High School Counterpoints, The Union Gospel Singers and the Joyful Noize will perform. A free will offering will be taken.
In addition, a home-made pie auction will be conducted after the concert in the fellowship hall.
