The first sesssion of the Niles-Buchanan YMCA's adult volleyball league wrapped up play recently. In the championship game, Galaxy One edged out the Bertrand Brombers to win the title.
It was a close, hard-fought match, but Galaxy One was able to slip past the Bombers 19-17, 18-15. Galaxy One team members are Jessica Johnson, Brandon Hiles. Todd Marvin, Kara Green, Jerry Marlin, Tony Manfred, Greg Hurlbutt, Karla Hurlbutt and Christie Dumini.
The next YMCA adult volleyball league will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 25 and Thursday, Jan. 27. Deadline to sign up for the league is Tuesday, Jan. 11. If you wish to register or have any questions, contact adult programs director Amy McKean at AMcKean23@nb-ymca.org, or call the YMCA at 683-1552.
