Armed robbers invade Penn township home

CASSOPOLIS - Cass County Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports his office is investigating a home invasion and armed robbery which occurred on Lakeview Drive, Donnell Lake, Penn Township, at approximately 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 29.
Deputies were called to the residence after two to three subjects entered the residence under false pretenses and robbed the home owner.
The victim said a subject came to his residence and advised that he was having car trouble.
The subject left after being assisted by the victim.
A short time later this suspect and at least one other individual came to his door again.
This time the suspects brandished a weapon during the incident and robbed him of cash.
The victim was not injured in the encounter and the suspects fled the scene after the robbery in an unknown vehicle.
The only description at this time is two to three black males with average height and weight.
At least one of the individuals had disguised himself with a bandanna over his face, according to Capt. Lyndon Parrish.
This incident remains under investigation.
