ST. JOSEPH - A fire Monday night destroyed the Larry Glass residence at 49019 E. McKean Drive, Grand Beach, according to Police Chief Dan Schroeder.
Officer George Keeler received the call at 10:11 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27.
Upon arrival at the scene, the officer observed the entire front portion of the Berrien County residence engulfed in flames.
New Buffalo Township Fire Department responded and was still putting water on the fire at 2:15 a.m. today, Dec. 28.
Schroeder reported that the residence is considered a total loss.
The value of the property was not known. There were no injuries. Nobody was home at the time of the fire.
Cause of the fire was unknown and will be investigated by the Michigan State Police fire marshal's office.
Michiana Police Department also assisted in responding to the blaze.
