BUCHANAN - The Buchanan Police Department is investigating the continued disappearance of Marquette Elizabeth Bowen, who was reported missing on Wednesday.
Bowen, whose maiden name is McGuirt, is a black female, 56 years of age. She is approximately 5'6" tall weighing 100 lbs.
Bowen has shoulder length black and gray hair and has brown eyes. She wears brown frame glasses and may be wearing a brown wool coat, blue jeans, and tennis shoes.
She was reportedly last seen in front of her residence of 109 Fulton St., Buchanan, on Wednesday, Dec. 15, between 11 and 11:30 a.m.
There were sighting of someone matching her description walking north on North Red Bud Trail near the city limits at approximately 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
Another sightening tip though on Sunday in South Bend, was ruled as out as being Bowen, as Buchanan police identified and talked to the women reported as possibly being Bowen.
Bowen is under a doctors care for anxiety, depression, bi-polar disorder and paranoia and needs medication which she does not have in her possession.
Bowen is the mother of Letitia Bowen McGuff, Buchanan basketball player who went on to play at the university of Notre Dame and helped coach the women's team.
Anyone who may have seen this person or with information on her where abouts is asked to please contact the Buchanan Police Department at (269) 695-5120.
