Eddies fall to Bridgman

Edwardsburg hung close with Bridgman for the first period Friday night, but it was all downhill from there.
The Bees outscored the Eddies 21-4 in the second period to take a commanding lead they would not lose in a 55-36 victory.
The loss evens Edwardsburg's record at 2-2 and puts them at 0-1 in the Lakeland Conference. Bridgman moves to 2-1 overall and 2-0 in the league.
After trailing by 18 at halftime, Edwardsburg fell behind by 20 points at the end of three and eventually lost by 19.
The Eddies were led by Nick Roth's 14 points. Roth was 8-of-9 from the free throw line. Matt Horvath was next for Edwardsburg with eight points.
Bridgman had a pair of double-figure scorers, led by Tyler Weaver with 15 points. Dan Kunde added 13.
The Bees made more than double the amount of field goals the Eddies made, 22 to 10. Edwardsburg made more free throws (16) than field goals.
