Dowagiac Police Chief Tom Atkinson reports that two adults and one juvenile have been charged with several burglaries in Dowagiac.
Jeffery Roetzel, 19, of Swamp Street and Derek Beavers, 19, of Michigan Avenue, were arrested and charged for several counts of burglary and attempted burglary.
The juvenile subject is being petitioned through Cass County for similar charges, but his name is not being released at this time.
The charges are from a break-in at Save-A-Lot grocery store, 609 N. Front St., on Nov. 28 during which a safe was stolen.
The other incidents were several break-ins that took place during the last week of November and the first week of December at Leitke's Grocery Store, 309 Jefferson St., in which money and merchandise were stolen.
