CASSOPOLIS - Cass County Board of Commissioners' date of the annual reorganizational meeting has been changed to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, to avoid conflict with training for new commissioners from 3 to 8 p.m. on the board's normal meeting day, Thursday, Jan. 6, at Kalamazoo Valley Community College.
Four new commissioners will be joining the 15-member commission in 2005 - John Cureton of Dowagiac, Cathy Goodenough of Marcellus, Gordon Bickel Sr. of Constantine and Dale Lowe of Niles.
A special meeting is also being planned for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, for orientation.
County Administrator Terry Proctor said the annual Intergovernmental Forum is being planned for Thursday, April 14, 2005, at Southwestern Michigan College.
The newsletter mailed to every household in the county will be published in July.
