SMC’s annual Turkey Trot on Sunday

Southwestern Michigan College is hosting its 38th annual Turkey Trot on Sunday. The race holds the distinction of being Michiana's oldest race. It was founded by the Roadrunner Track Club of Southwestern Michigan College in 1967 and is conducted on SMC's Dowagiac campus trails.
An 8K (5 mile) run, a 5K (3.1 mile) run or walk and a one-mile fun-run will begin at 1 p.m. at the Zollar Sports Center. Ribbons will be awarded to the top 5 finishers in 34 different divisions. Special awards will be given to SMC students and alumni.
The entry fees are $2 for the 8K and 5K events and 50 cents for the fun-run. No advanced registration is necessary. Registration will take place from noon to 12:45 p.m. on the day of the race at the Zollar Sports Center. Call (269) 782-1210 or (269) 687-1600, extension 1210 for more information.
