The Niles F.O.P. fall baseball program wrapped up its season at the end of October. Games were played on Sunday afternoons and included minor league teams (ages 6 – 8) and major league teams (ages 9 – 12).
Niles F.O.P. would like to thank Brent Wright and Scott Glick for maintaining the fields, Eileen and Taylor Glick for running the concession stand and all the players, coaches and parents who helped to make the season successful.
The fall baseball program is designed to promote skill building for younger players and to help older children make the transition from minor league play to major league. It is not a competitive league but a chance to work on skills during the off-season in preparation for next year's regular baseball season.
All of southwest Michigan was represented in fall ball. Players from Niles, Buchanan, Brandywine, Dowagiac, Berrien Springs and Mattawan took part in this program.
