Seventh graders finish season with tie

In its final game of the season, Ring Lardner's seventh grade football team tied St. Joseph 14-14 to finish the year with an even 2-2-2 record.
The Vikings started the game with an 11-yard touchdown pass from Cameron Sly to Ramone Brown in the first quarter. The two also connected on the two-point conversion to gain an 8-0 lead.
After St. Joe tied the game in the second quarter, Ring Lardner again took the lead in the third with a 62-yard scoring outburst by Kevin Gross. The Bears scored once more in the fourth quarter to tie the game again.
Defensively, Dustin Wilson recovered a St. Joe fumble on Niles' 6-yard line to save a go-ahead touchdown.
Cameron Sly finished the game connecting on 3-of-4 pases.
