NILES - A pizza delivery man was assaulted in the parking lot of a Niles apartment complex Friday night.
A Pizza Hut delivery man responded to a bogus call at North Niles Villa Apartments, 1819 N. Fifth St. When he arrived at the complex, he was approached by three men, said Capt. James Merriman of the Niles City Police.
The men told the victim to drop the pizzas and all his money, which he did.
The suspects then picked up the food and money and fled the scene.
The case has been turned over to the department's detective bureau for further investigation, Merriman said.
