Buchanan will host Union City Friday night in the school's first ever football playoff appearance. The qualified for the Division 6 playoffs by going 8-1 this season.
Buchanan is in Region 2, District 2 of its division. The winner of Friday night's game plays the winner of the Kalamazoo Hackett and Constantine matchup.
The Bucks' lone loss this season came to Lakeland Conference champion Berrien Springs. The Shamrocks face Allendale at home Friday in a Division 5, Region 3, District 1 game.
Coloma is the third team from the Lakeland Conference to qualify for the playoffs. The Comets travel to Grand Rapids West Catholic Friday night. They are in the same district as Berrien Springs.
If Buchanan and Kalamazoo Hackett both win, the Bucks will host Hackett Nov. 5. If Buchanan and Constantine win, the Bucks will play on the road.
